Film Classification

Age Restrictions:

Each film or event has a classification which puts age restrictions on who can see it in a cinema:

U/ PG

Anyone can be admitted to films classified as U or PG.

12A

Anyone over 12 years of age can be admitted. Children under 12 can be admitted only if they are accompanied by an adult.

15

Nobody under the age of 15 can be admitted to films classified as 15.

18

Nobody under the age of 18 can be admitted to films classified as 18.

Admissions:

We will not admit anyone to a show unless they meet the minimum age set by the rating.

Photo ID:

We reserve the right to ask you to prove your age with appropriate photo ID if you are going to a 12A, 15 or 18 rated screening. If you are not able to prove your age you will not be admitted to the show.

Refunds:

If you buy a ticket before we know the rating for a show, and you are not old enough to view it, we will refund your money in full.

Regulator:

The British Board of Film Classification decides the age-rating for cinema shows. You can see details of their work, and the reasons behind it, on their website here.
