Things to Come (1936)

£4 (£10 food and film)

The story of a century: a decades-long second World War leaves plague and anarchy, then a rational state rebuild civilisation and attempts to space travel. Eerily prescient in its presentation of a dystopian future, Things to Come’s special effects may by somewhat dated, but its potent ideas haven’t aged at all.

South Tyne Cinema Circuit has been projecting films across the North of England for over 20 years. They have been based at The General Havelock pub for the last 3-4 years. They have screened in castles, village halls, theatres, isolated rural venues, and in cities. STCC is run by local film production company Haltwhistle Film Project.
