A Trip to the Moon (1902)


Regarded as the earliest sci-fi film, and as one of the most influential films in cinema history, Méliès’ A Trip to the Moon follows a group of astronomers who travel to the Moon in a cannon-propelled capsule.


A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)


Followed by Spielberg’s A.I. which tells the story of David, a childlike android uniquely programmed with the ability to love.


ACA is a contemporary arts organisation that has delivered innovative arts projects for over 20 years in remote rural Northumberland.   It is located in a ‘dark skies’ area of remote rural Northumberland and has an on-site astronomical observatory and residential accommodation.
