People's Emergency Briefing + Discussion (12A)

People's Emergency Briefing + Discussion

A new film from the National Emergency Briefing - a public information initiative to ensure the UK is fully briefed on the climate and nature crisis.

Last November, ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed an invited audience of over 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media. The briefing set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy. The People’s Emergency Briefing presents the national implications of climate and nature breakdown - along with credible, positive responses - in a single, accessible account.

Featuring Chris Packham, leading scientists, a former general and Jennifer Saunders - all being far too frank about where things are heading and what can be done about it.

The film will be followed by a discussion led by members of Hexham’s Climate Cafe, learn what you can do at a local level.

Tickets are pay as you feel, if you’d like to claim a free ticket and avoid the online processing fee book via our cinema box office.
