A Real Pain (15)

A Real Pain

Mismatched cousins David (Jesse Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin) reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the odd-couple's old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.

"With no great fanfare, Jesse Eisenberg has just given us a masterpiece. This is an effortlessly witty, fluent and astringent comedy with a very serious overcurrent."

★★★★★ - The Guardian

Nosferatu (15)

Nosferatu

In the 1830s, estate agent Thomas Hutter travels to Transylvania for a fateful meeting with Count Orlok, a prospective client. In his absence, Hutter's new bride, Ellen, is left under the care of their friends, Friedrich and Anna Harding. Plagued by horrific visions and an increasing sense of dread, Ellen soon encounters an evil force that's far beyond her control.

From director Robert Eggers (The Lighthouse, The Northman) and starring an ensemble cast including Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe and Bill Skarsgard, this is a gorgeously crafted cinematic addition to the classic legend of Nosfertau.

"Eggers is a historian at heart, and his invocation of the 1830s is staggeringly detailed."

★★★★★ - The Independent

The Universal Theory (15)

The Universal Theory

1962. Against the towering landscape of the post-war Swiss Alps, a gifted young physicist meets an elusive pianist - one who knows things about him that he’s never told another living soul. Before he knows it, his curiosity traps him inside a mind-bending metaphysical web of murder and mystery.

Drawing on the cinema of masters like Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch and Fritz Lang, director Timm Kroger impeccably blends past and present, black and white, reality and the surreal, to create something utterly unique.

Ambitious, compelling and visually breathtaking, The Universal Theory is a lush cinematic mystery not to be missed.
