Synopsis

Anchored by Mads Mikkelsen's sympathetic performance, The Hunt is set in a small, idyllic Danish village around Christmas time and follows a man, who becomes the target of mass hysteria after being wrongly accused of sexually abusing a child in his kindergarten class.

From contemporary Danish director, Thomas Vinterberg, famous for co-founding the controversial filmmaking movement Dogme 95 with Lars von Trier, The Hunt is a thrilling social commentary in which difficult questions are asked and answered head on.

Showing as part of Nordic Voices, a new international multi-arts festival for Hexham including an exciting programme of music, film, storytelling, drama and food events.
