Synopsis
Harold Fry lives a quiet life in South Devon with his wife Maureen (Penelope Wilton). When he receives news that his old friend Queenie (Linda Bassett) is moving to a hospice in Berwick-upon-Tweed, Harold vows to walk the length of the country to meet her again.
Surprising himself as much as his wife, Harold embarks on a walk of hope. Determined to travel the length of England to save his friend, inspiring countless people along his long path to Northumberland.
Starring Academy Award winner Jim Broadbent and adapted from the beloved novel by Rachel Joyce, this crowd-pleasing, uplifting tale of self-discovery, redemption and learning to seize the moment is British cinema at its finest.
