The Foscars is back for its 4th annual celebration on 9th October 2026!
The Foscars brings together members of the community with additional needs and gives them a platform to present short films they have made with the support and guidance of the Forum Cinema. It is an evening of celebration and community as the participants are given a chance to screen their films in our auditorium, before an awards show is hosted in their honour, with prizes being handed out for categories such as Best Comedy Actor and Best Emotional Portrayal. Previous years have been championed by BBC’s Alison Freeman.
We work with community groups from the area, including WeCan, Stage Fright CIC, Gateway into the Community and The Priory School Hexham, to give members an opportunity to share their skills and truly celebrate their individual, and group, achievements, by empowering them to express themselves through the art of filmmaking.
This event is open to all to attend so make sure to come down on 9th October and join us at an evening of community celebration and cinema!
