Short Film Submissions open now!

MONDAY 10 JUN 2024

We are delighted to announce that we are partnering with Heritage Open Days for a special short film festival on Saturday 14th September featuring short films made by local people aged 16-25. Submit your films today!

We are looking for short films made by people aged 16-25 that showcase diversity and both North East and global heritage. Inclusivity is very important to us and no prior filmmaking experience is necessary as we would like to review a range of submissions. This is a fantastic opportunity for young filmakers to screen their work in a professional setting and see their work on the big screen.

Submit your films here.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 5th July at 5pm. Please upload films in MP4 format. We are looking for films between 2 and 10 minutes, with some flexibility if they are longer. If your MP4 file is too large to submit using the form, you can send it to millie@forumhexham.com using WeTransfer.

Heritage Open Days is a community led festival held in a number of venues throughout the UK, showcasing history, diversity and culture and involves thousands of local volunteers and organisations. It is a celebration of traditions, stories, experiences, and histories which are brought to life. You can read more on their website.
