COVID-19 Measures

COVID-19 Measures

As a community cinema our staff and customers are always our priority, and after talking to both, we have decided to maintain many of our COVID-19 health and safety measures – including social distancing – past 19th July. Details below:

What we’re doing to keep you safe:

Auditorium alterations – We’ve removed seats in certain rows and built two new stairways in the upper tier to improve access to and from your seat. Read more about our new auditorium layout here.

Social distancing – We’ve reduced our capacity significantly and there will be empty seats between your booking and others. Our booking system will automatically 'block off' seats next to your booking to ensure social distanced seating.

One-way system – We’ve introduced a one-way system and floor markings are in place to help you navigate through the building.

Increased and enhanced cleaning – The entire cinema has been professionally cleaned and we’ve increased and enhanced our cleaning programme, including more regular cleaning of common touch points and toilets.

Safety screens – We’ve installed safety screens at till point in our Café Bar where you will get your tickets checked and purchase any food and beverage.

Time between screenings – We've increased time between screenings to carry out thorough cleaning of the building, and to make sure there is no overlap between customers leaving and customers arriving.

NHS Test and Trace – We are participating in the NHS Test and Trace service. It is no longer mandatory for customers to sign in to the venue, however, we still have QR codes and paper sign in sheets available for those who would like to sign it.

Air filtration – We've installed hospital-grade air purifiers in our auditorium. The air purifiers remove 99.97% of airborne viruses and pollutants.

Staff training – All of our staff have been trained on our COVID-19 response and they will be on hand to help make your experience as safe as possible.

What you can do to help us:

COVID-19 symptoms – If you have had, or anyone in your household has had, any symptoms in the last 14 days, please stay at home.

Face coverings – Our team will be wearing face coverings and we encourage you to do so too, but they are no longer mandatory.

Pre-book tickets – Tickets are available to book online or over the phone (from 5pm daily).

Arrive on time – We ask that you don’t arrive more than 30 minutes before the advertised film start time to make sure there is no overlap with customers leaving the previous screening.

Social distancing – We ask that you observe social distancing during your visit.

Use hand sanitiser – There will be hand sanitiser stations situated throughout the building and we ask that you sanitise your hands on entry.

Contactless payment – We ask that you pay using contactless, if possible.

Opening hours:

Our doors will open 30 minutes before the first screening of the day (check our website for full listings and start times). We have also re-opened our Cafe/Bar with limited, socially distanced seating. We will be answering the telephone from 5pm daily - 01434 601144.

Our COVID-19 health and safety measures will be reviewed regularly and updated when needed. Last updated: 19/07/2021
