Synopsis

The Forum Cinema, Hexham and Northumberland National Park are working together to connect people to their local nature.

On 17th July we will be screening The Salt of the Earth, a film which documents celebrated photographer Sebastião Salgado’s latest project, as he captures some of the wildest and most beautiful landscapes on our planet.

For the last 40 years, acclaimed photographer Sebastião Salgado has travelled the world, tracing the footsteps of an ever-changing humanity. He has witnessed and documented many of the major events of our times, taking in wars, famine, genocide and exodus. But now he is embarking on a new journey: to discover pristine territories, grandiose landscapes and wild nature as part of a huge photographic tribute to the planet’s beauty.

To help you access nature and amazing outdoors experiences close to home there will be an exhibition of images and information about your very own Northumberland National Park in Scott's. National Park staff and volunteers will also be on hand before and after the screening to give information about their summer events programme

On 18th July there will be a FREE screening of Project Wild Thing, a film that will have you rushing to get your young people out into the great outdoors! Click here to book tickets.
